The Temple Mount and Western Wall—Israel

Prophecy—“Looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus” (Titus 2:13).

Have you ever wondered what sets the Bible apart from other so called sacred writings, many of which claim to be God’s word?  There is no greater proof of the Bible as the inspired Word of God than that of fulfilled prophecy.  In fact, no other book comes close.  God even challenges other religions to do what only He can do.  Isaiah writes, “’Present your case,’ the Lord says.  ‘Bring forward your strong arguments.  Let them bring forth and declare to us what is going to take place.  […]  Declare the things that are going to come afterward, that we may know that you are gods’” (Is. 41:21-23).

The Bible, and only the Bible, has clearly demonstrated itself to be what it claims to be—the inspired, inerrant, and infallible word of the Living God. Therefore, Christianity is true and all other religious systems are false. There are over one thousand predictive verses in the Bible, half of which have already been literally fulfilled in history.  Current events in our world indicate the remaining half will soon be fulfilled.

I teach and write often about Bible prophecy and current events in our world.  I firmly believe the return of Christ for His Church is upon us.  What’s important is you, the reader, be ready.   If Christ returned today, would you be ready?

7 Undeniable Signs We are Living in the Last Days

AliyahA Hebrew word meaning, ascent.  Today it is used to describe the Jewish peoples return to the land of their forefathers—the Land of Israel.  On 14 May 1948, the major sign that we are living in the last days occurred.  The nation of Israel was born in one day, literally fulfilling Isaiah’s prophecy, “Can a land be born in one day?  Can a nation be brought forth all at once?” (Is. 66:8).  The fact that Israel is nation again in her ancient homeland settles once and for all that God is not finished with the Jews, the Church has not replaced Israel, and the return of Christ for His Church is imminent.

AlignmentThe end-times alignment of nations prophesied in the Bible is quickly coming into focus.  This would include the European and Mediterranean Unions, the rise of Iran, military and economic alliances between Russia and the nations of Iran, Libya, the Sudan, Turkey, Syria, and others.  With the exception of Russia, the lowest common denominator of these nations is their Islamic religion and hatred of Israel.  Ezekiel 38-39 foretells a coming invasion of Israel by a coalition of nations.  We see these nations solidifying today.  This indicates the 70th Week of Daniel is near (Dan. 9:24-27).  Therefore, the Rapture of the Church is nearer still!

AnticipationThe Bible says in the last days, just prior to Christ’s return, the world would be focused upon the Middle East, Israel, and Jerusalem in particular.  All of this would center around the anticipation for peace.  This is exactly where we are today.  For the past 20 years, the world has been trying to forge a peace between Israel, the Palestinians, and other Arab peoples.  Daniel tells us that a false peace will come and it will be this peace that initiates the final seven year period of Jewish history known as The Tribulation.  Paul wrote, “While they are saying, ‘Peace and safety!’ then destruction will come upon them suddenly, like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape” (1 Thess. 5:3).

ArrangementsDid you know the Bible says there will be a third Jewish Temple in the last days?  Most people don’t realize this.  Daniel, Jesus, Paul, and John all prophesied a coming third Temple that will be built on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.  In fact, it is this Temple that is key to understanding end-times Bible prophecy.  Jesus said, “Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (Matt. 24:15).  The “holy place” is the Holy of Holies located inside the Temple.  The second Jewish Temple was destroyed in A.D. 70.  You won’t see much about this through western news outlets, but the Temple Institute in Jerusalem has crafted nearly all the instruments needed for the coming Temple.  Priest are this very moment training for service in the Temple.  The cornerstone is ready to be laid.  We only await God’s timing!  Do not be deceived.  There’s a Temple coming, perhaps sooner than you think.

ApostasyThe Bible foretells a time when many who claim to be Christians will go the way of apostates.  There has always been apostasy.  But nothing on the level we are seeing today.  For example, the Emerging Church movement is an apostate movement.  Its leaders are heretics who have denied the very fundamentals of the faith and the simple gospel message.  Furthermore, the ecumenical movement is accomplishing nothing more than laying the groundwork for the coming one world religion.  I believe this religion will be some form of apostate Christianity.  In His Olivet Discourse, Jesus warned three different times about deception.  He said, “See to it that no one misleads you.  For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ, and will mislead many” (Matt. 24:4-5; see also verses 11 and 24).

ArgumentThe Bible says it will all come down to the city of Jerusalem—who will own and control it.  God has declared Jerusalem to be His city and He has given it to the Jews in an everlasting covenant.  However, the Palestinians want it for the capital of their fantasy state.  European foreign ministers recently voted to recognize East Jerusalem as the future capital of such a fantasy state.  Even the U.S. President suggested flying the U.N. flag over the city.  Zechariah wrote, “Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around; […].  It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured.  And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it” (Zech. 12:2-3).

Additional SignsThe Bible speaks of general signs that indicate we are living in the last days.  There are signs in nature (odd weather patters, the Global Warming myth, earthquakes).  There is conflict (“wars and rumors of wars”), and terrorism.  Liberalism, humanism, calling evil good and good evil, and many more signs are rampant today.  Clearly, the return of Christ is near! (see Matt. 24; 1 Tim. 4; 2 Tim. 3)
