Thoughts on Running with Endurance
"Let us run with endurance the race set before us" (Heb. 12:1). The Greek word used here for "endurance" (hypomonē), means the steady determination to keep going, regardless of the temptation to slow down or give up. After years of running the race--and running hard most of the time--I am tempted to slow down and give up. But I am reminded there is a reward waiting at the finish line, and like Paul, I want to finish well. Do you want to finish well? Then commit to running with "endurance" the race God has set before you!

You are welcome to leave comments and you don't have to necessarily agree with me. However, I expect a civil tone and charitable spirit. We can disagree with one another without being disagreeable. "Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt." (Colossians 4:6)
